Lamayuru to Padum

The most beautiful and the longest trek begins from Lamayuru and enters the Zanskar Valley, passing through Wanla and the village of Lingshed. The first stage of the trek can take up to 10 days depending on the pace you want to set and whether you choose to linger along the route. On the 9th and 10th day, one reaches the villages of Hanamur and Pishu via the Karsha monastery. The trek ends at the village of Padum in the Zanskar Valley where the Zanskari people turn a trek in this area into an unforgettable experience. After a day rest at Padum you can proceed towards Darcha via Phuktal monastery and the high passes (Shikun La 5,100 m). The trek finishes at Darcha village in Lahul & Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh around 145 kms from Manali.
